Every once in a while a song comes to mind that sums up one’s travels. Recently it was the Grateful Dead’s Brokedown Palace that reminded me “home” is wherever I park, so there is no “going home” really. At least not in the sense of going back home … only finding the next place to call home.

“Mama, mama many worlds I’ve come since I first left home.”

I’ve been everywhere, man.

I was thinking of that ol’ Hank Snow song, and found myself there.

“I’ve been everywhere, man
I’ve been everywhere, man
Crossed the deserts bare, man
I’ve breathed the mountain air, man
Of travel I’ve had my share, man
I’ve been everywhere”

All travelers are avid readers.

“The world is a book, and those who do not travel read only a page.”

St. Augustine said that.

I’ve been there too.
